i confuse myself. i find that at times i love celebrity news, entertainment, movies, tv shows... at the same time, at other moments, i find that the whole thing, the whole world of celebrity just bores and annoys me. its not as intense as a disgust feeling as Rocco de Giacomo feels as stated in his blog, but his opinion definitely sparked this posting of my opinion. i agree with him on many points, however to totally go with it would be hypocritical of me. i too watch Entertainment Tonight and Hollywood True Story from time to time. and i enjoy the shows most times too..
but here's how i feel about it all:
everyone knows me as that girl that doesnt ever see movies. you can ask me, did you see that one? i'll most likely reply, "no." i enjoy movies, but star power doesnt pull me to the theaters. i see movies...in time. i just dont understand the obsession with celebrities and their lives. They are people just as we are. why should they be put up on a pedestal? just because a lot more people know who they are doesnt make them a better person than your neighbor. so when i hear celebrity news, at times i am caught by it, but in the main scheme of things i just dont really care. you want to break up with your boyfriend? go ahead. She keeps fighting with that other girl at the clubs? cant we all get along? i just dont get the obsession. maybe thats just me. maybe i'm strange.
anyone wanna explain it to me??
